We are pleased to announce that the adoption was finalized on 01/16/08! We had a big party to celebrate Ava and Preston's 1st Birthday and the finalization in January. I guess you could say we have been busy! We just addded 3 pages of pictures from January and February. Check out our updated photos See Photogallery Pages 20 thru 22 now

We just addded 1 page of pictures from their birthday. Lots of messy cake eating!

It's Ava and Preston's first birthday! We can hardly believe that they are one already. They are both crawling all over the place. Ava has two teeth and she is really proud of them. She loves to show everyone her new teeth. Preston doesn't have any teeth yet, but he's showing all the signs that his own the way. We just addded 5 pages of pictures from the holidays. No birthday pictures yet. We will have those up soon. (we promise!)

We just addded 4 pages of pictures from September, October and early November. Yes, there are halloween pictures! We are biased, but they look so cute in their costumes! Preston and Ava are healthy and happy babies. They are really close to crawling. Any day now we will be chasing them all over the house. We are excited and nervous in equal measure about that prospect!

Ava and Preston just had their 6 month check ups. They have gained enough weight to be on the growth charts for full term 6 month olds! They are growing and changing really fast. It seems as though they do something new or discover new activities everyday. We just started them on solid food yesterday! Check back soon for updated pictures.

We are not sure exactly how long the twins are. They are longer than the gauge on our baby scale, which is 20 inches. We thought about measuring them with a tape measure, but they are really wiggling and kicking now, so that would be a real challenge. We will have more exact measurements after their next checkup.

For the past few days we’ve been busy settling into fatherhood and discovering our new “routines”. We’ve included a couple photos of our new family. A huge thank you goes out to everyone for your incredible outpouring of support! We appreciate all the emails, phone calls and messages we’ve received.
